Empowering Women through Organic Farming

As part of the WE-LivE Project organized by FCDP, the first phase of the organic farming program was held at Maruthadi on 30th September 2025. The training session, which focused on the importance of organic farming and its benefits for both health and the environment, was led by Mrs. Ushas R., Deputy Manager, Vegetable and Fruit Promotion Council, Kerala (VFPCK). During the session, she shared practical insights on soil conservation, the use of organic fertilizers, bio-pesticides, compost preparation, and the setting up of grow bags. About 26 women took part in the program, which also provided an opportunity for participants to clarify doubts and exchange their experiences.
