The coastal community must unite to combat the drug menace, which poses a significant threat to society ' s well-being, said MLA Chandy Oommen during the inauguration of Onam celebrations and an Anti-Drug Campaign. He emphasized the importance of building a drug-free community and encouraged the youth to recognize the destructive consequences of drug use. The event featured cultural programs, kite flying, and a public meeting with dignitaries, including Director Fr. Saji Elambasseril and FCDP Chairperson Agnes John, all coming together to promote a society free from drugs. By working collectively, the community can create a safe and supportive environment for its members, especially the young generation. The campaign aims to raise awareness, provide support, and foster a sense of responsibility among community members to tackle the drug menace effectively. Through such initiatives, the community can strive towards a brighter, healthier future.
