International consumer rights day celebration

International consumer rights day celebration was celebrated at FCDP hall on 15 th March 2021. It was inaugurated by Mr. Muhammed Ibrahim, President, consumer dispute resolution commission, Kollam. The function was organised by the Kollam district committee of the consumer federation of Kerala in association with Fishermen Community Development Programme. Mr. M. Mukesh, MLA of Kollam was the chief guest of the program. The function was presided over by Adv. G. Vijayakumar, District President of the Consumer federation of Kerala. Taking a note of the services extended during the pandemic, the organizations Fishermen Community Development Programme (FCDP) and Theeradesa Mahila Society (TMS) as well as Mr. Sathyan P.I, President, TRACK and Dr. John Shibu, Convener, Indian dental association were honoured by Mr. M. Mukesh.

Mr. Stanley Harold in his key note address noted that “The implementation of the new consumer law will bring about revolutionary changes in the consumer sector”. Mr. Pushpan Thevally, Secretary, consumer federation of Kerala delivered the gave the welcome speech. Adv. Sajan Xavier delivered the vote of thanks.
