Home-based Nursing and Palliative Care


The training program equips women from the fisher community to care of bed ridden patients and elders. The focus is to improve their social value from a domestic worker to a skilled home nurse and care taker. The training programme creates awareness among the community regarding the importance of taking care of bed ridden and aged people.


Objectives:
  • To train 45 women per year in Home based Nursing and Palliative care.
  • To sensitize the community to care for the aged and bedridden people.
  • To enhance the self-esteem and social status of the people.
  • To produce more skilled women and youth in the society.
