Small scale women fish vendors in the coastal region of Kollam are a vulnerable group often sidelined and exploited. The meeting consisted of representatives from Fishermen Welfare Society (FWS) and South Indian Federation of Fishermen Societies (SIFFS) besides FCDP. Prior to the meeting, a survey had been conducted by FCDP to identify the needs and problems of the women fish vendors based on which a report was also prepared.
