Bishop Benziger College of Nursing organized a Breast Cancer awareness class - on 26 October 2022

Bishop Benziger College of Nursing organized a Breast Cancer awareness class at FCDP on 26th October 2022 as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The month of October is dedicated to breast cancer awareness, and campaigns to inform people about the importance of early detection, treatment, and impact on patients. The resource person began the session by giving an outline of the significance of cancer awareness in the present scenario. The team provided detailed information about what breast cancer is, how common it is, the different signs of breast cancer, the early detection methods, and the treatment strategies through the presentation. The team also showed a model demonstration on the self-detection of breast cancer. The awareness class ended by 3.30 with a feedback session. Around 100 women from the coastal area attended the session.
