Awareness cum training program conducted by Dream

DREAM (Drug Rehabilitation Education and Mentoring) Kollam, in collaboration with Fishermen Community Development Programme (FCDP) and Theeradesa Mahila Society (TMS) organized an awareness cum training program for the parents against the growing menace of drug abuse among children on Wednesday, 26th April 2023. Ms. Athira Wilson, project coordinator of DREAM led the session on Signs and Symptoms of Substance abuse. DREAM (Drug Rehabilitation Education and Mentoring) is a project focusing on protecting children and youth against addiction by educating and mentoring them on substance abuse and various addictions. Ms. Susanna (Project Director, DREAM, Don Bosco Mondo, Bonn, Germany) addressed the audience during the meeting. Rev. Fr. Rubin (Executive Director, BREADS, Bangalore), Mr. Benny Augustine (Project Manager, BREADS), Rev. Fr. Bino Nadackal (Director, DREAM, Kollam), Fr. Joby Sebastian (Director FCDP & TMS), Mr. Jayasingh (Project counselor), Ms. Aswathy and Mr. Antony (staff of QDBS), and staff of FCDP and TMS were present at the training programme where about 100 parents from the fisher folk community took part.
